Mutual Motion and Slipped Disc have teamed up to bring you a day party at one of London's most unique venues: The Old Church Stoke Newington, the only remaining Elizabethan Church in the city.A custom Turbosound system will get the beats flowing, with our residents and Paul Baule (Anjunadeep) on the buttons. As darkness falls, Kassian will complete the blessing.
Since starting their project in 2019, Kassian have been gathering more and more momentum, re-leasing records on Heist, Phonica Records and Shall Not Fade and evolving their sound from groove-laden House towards more leftfield threads of Techno and UK Bass. Their own imprint - Faux Poly - launched early in 2022 and hosts three of their own releases all receiving major support by from the likes of Ben UFO, Four Tet, Floating Points, Daphni, Tom Ravenscroft (BBC R6), Emerald (Rinse), Mary Anne Hobbs (BBC R6), George Fitzgerlad, DJ Seinfeld and more.
With a string of recent releases, including for !K7, their own label Faux Poly, and the illustrious Unknown-Untitled, Kassian have been busy working the DJ circuit. Panorama Bar, HÖR, A.D.E. and Watergate, as well as regular gigs in their hometown, London. Their label parties have all sold out, with the most recent one taking place at the Pickle Factory in collaboration with Origins. The impressive duo have delighted crowds at festivals like Love International, Kala festival and Madruga and if all of that wasn’t enough, Kassian have also landed a weekly residency at the legendary London community radio Rinse FM.
