A night of music and NA refreshments to open the Detroit Month of Design 2026 and Creative Coding Detroit's code-based art exhibition, Mutual Assembly.

A New Era for Art in Detroit

By attending, you join Creative Coding Detroit in ushering in the era of generative, code-based art in Detroit.

By creating a platform with this exhibition, we establish the city as a location where digital art is being innovated on, participating in conversation with pioneering arts organizations both on the coasts and abroad. By standing on the shoulders of the techno pioneers of the Belleville Three and Underground Resistance, this show punctuates the fact that Detroiters and Detroit-based artists have always been hand-building groundbreaking artistic movements. We’re innovating on our own time, in ways that are true to our values and rooted in authenticity.
