MUTUAL AID VOLUNTEER ACTIVATION: How Might We Serve Our Local Community?

What would NYC look like if neighbors, creatives, educators, entrepreneurs, and organizers worked together to rebuild systems of care from the ground up?

Join Cambio Labs at the Anew Cafe to learn about mutual aid, real community organizing tactics, and to launch a real volunteer-led movement around creating new civic infrastructure and community spaces that can benefit our most vulnerable New Yorkers.
What to expect:

• Conversations around organized grasstoots volunteerism & mutual aid
• Analysis of communituy needs in low income areas of NYC
• Joining with neighbors to brainstorm impactful programs and tactics
• For those that are inspired to act, committing to contrbute volunteer time and skills to launching three mutual aid hubs, or Cambio Spaces, in 2026

Help us create accessible neighborhood hubs for open learning, social entrepreneurship, workforce development, and free social services! Help us define what volunteer-led activism, collective innovation, and community-informed policy can look like!

Whether you're an artist, educator, organizer, student, entrepreneur, technologist, or simply someone who wants to contribute to a more humane and representivative NYC, this space is for you!
