ARAI was inspired by the monk Issan Ichinei, who traveled from the Yuan dynasty in China to Japan 700 years ago.
To honour the cultural influence carried across the sea, I named the collection “Musuhi,” a word that signifies the divine spirit that gives birth to all things.
“Musuhi “ also carries the meaning of “to connect.” I hope you will experience it at Kissabō, a place where people are brought together through tea. - Osamu Arai
