We are Flighting to the St. Petersburg Opera - Mirella Cimato Gallery for our Community SpotFLIGHT this month!!!JOIN US for a very special Learning To Flight on WEDS, JUNE 30TH, featuring cheese and chocolate-inspired pintxos, locally-crafted chocolates from Prittie Chocolat and artisan cheeses from around the world paired w/ family-estate wines from Argentina & Chile curated by the founders of MUST Wine Loft, Jessica Arkwright & Raymond Cotteret - all while enjoying the beautiful artwork of Patricia Kluwe Derderian AT THE Mirella Cimato Gallery INSIDE THE St. Petersburg Opera!
TO PARTICIPATE AT ST. PETE OPERA you MUST first purchase your Flight Kit for Two OR Flight Pass for Six by June 25th - please let us know how many seats/participants for your group so that we can seat you together, if requesting, in the notes section at check-out. Purchase your Flight Kit/Pack at www.MUSTWineLoft.com/Flight-Pass - THEN on Weds, 6/30, you will need to pick-up your Flight Kit/Pass at MUST Wine Loft {located at 442 2nd St N in the 5th Ave Lofts building, across from the Palladium} between 4 - 5:30PM, and then bring your Flight Kit/Pack with you to participate at St. Pete Opera. SPO and MUST are NOT allowed to transport your wine for you due to insurance liability so please remember to pick-up your Flight Kit/Pass BEFORE arriving at SPO.
UPON ARRIVAL AT SPO, we will begin the evening with a meet & greet reception at 5:30PM with Mirella Cimato and Chris Green as our wonderful hosts for the evening at the St. Petersburg Opera - Mirella Cimato Gallery. If you haven't been to SPO and experienced Mirella Cimato Gallery before, you are in for a treat!
Artist Patricia Kluwe Derderian grew up sketching and drawing as a child in Brazil and then traveled the world to study architecture {art was not offered in her small town in Brazil} as a young adult. In 2020, she received the Creative Pinellas Emerging Artist Grant and took the year to turn inward and create. Her artwork features pieces inspired from her childhood growing up in Brazil and from her travels to her favorite Cities as an adult.
Inspired by Patricia's artwork and childhood in Brazil, we paired wines from South America with artisan cheeses & chocolates from around the world - although Brazil is not flush with wine production, it is well-known for its multicultural influences on food.
At 6:15PM, we will ask everyone to be seated and we will talk you through the format for our live-stream "Learning To Flight" show and introduce you to presenters Jessica Arkwright and Raymond Cotteret of MUST Wine Loft and Maggie Prittie of Prittie Chocolat.
At 6:30PM, we will go 'Live' {streaming to MUST's FB and Instagram for those who wish to participate from home/offsite} and we will taste through the four wines and cheese & chocolate pairings together, encouraging audience participation with questions and comments about the pairings in-person and from our online participants. Our "Learning To Flight" show usually lasts an hour, and we will be available after the show for more questions/comments/feedback.
We will also be raffling off a gift basket and will finish the evening off by announcing the winner{s} at the end of the show!
