MUSICIANS REQUIRED!
The University of Surrey Orchestra is inviting local musicians to campus for a FREE fun day of rehearsals of Dvorak's Symphony No. 8, under the baton of our Head of Conducting Russell Keable.
After a day of rehearsals, the orchestra will perform to an audience of friends, family, and the general public.
To maintain consistency, we ask for musicians to be grade 7 or above. The piece requires the following instruments:
Flutes
Oboes
Clarinets (in BOTH Bb and A)
Bassoons
French Horns
Trumpets
Tenor trombones (need to be able to read tenor clef)
Bass Trombones
Tubas
Timpani
Violins
Violas
Cellos
Double Basses
It is essential that you register your place to play by emailing [email protected], as we have limited spaces per instrument.
A light lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.
