I have had a number of people requesting that we hold another musicians memorial for musicians from Lauderdale County and Meridian, who have passed away, and are now performing in that great gig in the sky.
So I’m pleased to announce that we are going to plan on another memorial and it will be held Sunday, October 11, 2026 at the historic Temple theater in Meridian, Mississippi.
I don’t know how many people actually see this page, but please comment or at least acknowledge that you read the above. I am looking for more photographs of the musicians that are on our list. So if you should have some pictures of those who are on our list, please get them to me and I will make them a part of the PowerPoint slides that we project on screens.
We want to make this even better than the last one which was highly successful. We ended up raising $3500 for the historic temple theater. So with that in mind at this time, I’d like to ask for some volunteers. Even though the last musicians memorial was a success in order to make this one surpass the one that we did in March 2025, I need a little help. So if you would like to text me and get on the list of volunteers that will help us in planning our next musicians memorial.
