Celebrate the musical orchestral talents of the NSYO at Ryde Library while enjoying a cuppa and biscuits.Join us for a cuppa and biscuits while enjoying a hand-picked selection of 7-8 beautiful orchestral musical pieces for our monthly Musical Morning Tea. The event features the talented youth performers from the Northern Sydney Youth Orchestra. For 40 Years, Northern Sydney Youth Orchestra (NSYO) has been a community-based, volunteer-run organisation.
We pride ourselves on being an open, inclusive and welcoming community. Our mission focus is all about the joy of making beautiful music.
NSYO has four orchestras: the Symphony, String Orchestra, Sinfonia and Wind Ensemble. The performance today at Ryde Library will be from the Sinfonia Orchestra. The Sinfonia is an extension group of the Strings ensemble, which enables the more advanced players to tackle more difficult repertoires. Our youth orchestras rehearse weekly at Beecroft in the north-western region of Sydney. We present several concerts and special performances each year with one hundred and eighty talented young musicians aged from 5 to 25 years.
