Get ready to experience the transformative power of music at the Emotional Response Autumn Trance Party, proudly presented by Music Unity For Mental Health.

Following two incredible, sold-out events in 2025, we are thrilled to return this autumn for another unforgettable daytime gathering. This time, our event holds special significance as it coincides with World Mental Health Day on Saturday, October 10th, 2026.Step through the secret bookcase at The Star of Kings in Kings Cross, London, and enter a safe, empathetic space designed for emotional release and connection.

From 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM, we invite you to embark on a mindful journey through the hypnotic, melodic, and uplifting sounds of trance. Our stellar lineup features incredible DJ talent, including GXD, Dean Zone, Tim Samsara, Luke Haydon, Tim Bulman, Dean Nicholson, Josh Bailey, and Blackromeo, all ready to keep you dancing and uplifted throughout the day.

The "Emotional Response" series is more than just a club night; it is a community-driven initiative that uses music as a vehicle to process difficult emotions and foster a sense of belonging. We intentionally keep our ticket allocation strictly limited to ensure an intimate, "light and airy" atmosphere where you, the clubber, always come first.

Whether you are looking to lose yourself in the music, connect with like-minded individuals, or simply find a supportive environment, this event is curated with your well-being in mind.Come make some noise, celebrate unity, and make a difference with us this World Mental Health Day. Secure your tickets now and be part of a movement that breaks down the stigma surrounding mental health while celebrating the unifying power of trance music. We cannot wait to share this special day with you on the dancefloor.

Music Unity for Mental Health is a UK-based non-profit organization (specifically located in Chelmsford, Essex) dedicated to using music and community to support mental well-being.

  • Mission: Their primary goal is to break down the stigma surrounding mental health and create safe, friendly environments where people can connect. They operate on the belief that while professional help is necessary, a strong social support network is equally vital.
  • Key Activities:
    • Music Events: They host electronic music events (club nights, gatherings) that serve as safe spaces for people to enjoy music without the pressure often associated with standard nightlife.
    • Workshops: A flagship initiative is their collaboration with On The Rise DJ Academy, offering DJ and music production workshops. These provide a creative outlet and a new skill set for those struggling with mental health issues.
    • Community Building: They actively encourage volunteering and participation, allowing people to feel part of a "tribe" or community, which combats the isolation often felt during mental health struggles.

2. The Broader Concept: Why "Music Unity" Works

Beyond the specific organization, the idea of "music unity" is a powerful psychological tool used in music therapy and community health. Here is why music is effective for mental health unity:

  • Neurochemical Release: Listening to and participating in music releases dopamine (the reward chemical) and oxytocin (the bonding chemical). When people experience music together—whether dancing at a club or singing in a choir—this effect is amplified, creating a physiological sense of safety and belonging.
  • Social Regulation: Evolutionarily, music was used to bond groups. "Entrainment" occurs when people move to the same beat; their heart rates and breathing often synchronize. This physical unity can help regulate the nervous systems of anxious or depressed individuals.
  • Non-Verbal Expression: For many, talking about trauma or depression is difficult. Music provides a "container" for these emotions, allowing people to express or process feelings (like grief or anger) without needing to find the right words.

3. How to Get Involved

If you are looking to engage with this specific organization.

  • If you are in the UK: You can look up Music Unity for Mental Health on social media (they are active on Facebook and Instagram) or check Eventbrite for their upcoming events in the Essex/London area.
