Music Under The Dome - Ballades of the Wind

Our third program of the season, titled Ballades of the Wind, will begin with Suite en Duo by Jean Cras, a whimsical work presented by Schwob flutist Robert Ralston, and harpist, Katie Damon. This will be followed by two sets of gorgeous songs; the first is Frughlingsstimmen by Johann Strauss, Jr and sung by soprano Rachel Ward, and the second is a set of songs by Morten Lauridsen including Prayer and Sure on This Shining Night, performed by baritone Zachery Hornbeck, both terrific singers. The program will come to a close with Frederic Chopin’s powerful Ballade No. 4, performed by Schwob graduate pianist Yiduo Zhao.
Reception at 5 pm with wine and cheese, and 45-minute concert at 5:37pm!
