Piedmont Music Therapy (PMT) in collaboration with Veterans Bridge Home is hosting an 8-week music therapy program increasing accessibility of the arts as a mental health resource to local veterans and caregivers. Each registrant will receive a musical instrument to keep after the program concludes for further incorporation of creative self-expression and coping skills utilization. This arts-based initiative supports improved quality of life through aiming to improve sense of self, purpose, mood, and creative outlet for workshop participants in Mecklenburg County. Dates are Wednesday mornings, 10/2/24 - 11/20/24 from 10:00am - 11:30am and there will be two music therapists co-facilitating the series. This is a free, in-person program due to the support of the City of Charlotte's Infusion Fund and its generous donors.
