Introducing Urban Ballroom Dance Class
Urban Ballroom is a distinctive style of social dancing, popularized in Detroit. The style, like many others, has its roots in the historic 1930’s era of swing. This Detroit cultural scene which rivaled Harlem in NY was closely tied to an area known as the heart of Black Detroit called “Black Bottom.” The dance soared in Detroit during the Motown era and has built bridges between generations.
