Discover how music theory can help you understand the music you play, compose, and create in this interactive, student-driven workshop.
About this Event

Open to ages 8-17, all levels and instruments welcome!

Curious about how music theory connects to the music you play and create? This introductory workshop will give students a taste of what Theory Lab has to offer as a supplement to instrumental lessons, composition, and songwriting.

After a brief introduction to the Breezin’ Thru Theory platform, students will help shape the direction of the workshop. Bring a piece you’re currently learning or a composition you’ve written, and we’ll explore the theory behind it together. Students will discover how music theory can be a practical tool for understanding the mechanics of music and leave with an introduction to the platform used in upcoming Sunday Theory Lab sessions.
