Music is an art in which sounds unfold over time. In this course, we will begin to look more deeply at the underlying structures on which music is built and how composers have used different techniques to create a sense of coherence. You do not need to have taken any previous theory courses; however, you should be able to read music to get the most out of the class. This will be the first part in a continuing series.
