Music on the Porch is an annual event benefiting and celebrating the Appalachian Women's Museum. We have gone all out this year, expanding beyond music and house tours to include all kinds of fun activities for the whole family! Admission is by donations, bring a lawn chair or blanket.**Music**

**Demonstrations**
Leather working by Morrow Leatherworks inspired by the horseback librarians of western North Carolina (ongoing throughout the event)
Weaving by Susan Leveille (ongoing throughout the event)
2:30 -3:30 Corn-husk Dolls with Mia Morcom, participants will learn about the history and significance of corn-husk dolls and make their own!
3:00 Water Quality and Macroinvertebrate Collection with WATR. See what little critters live in Scott's creek!
**Activities**
Appalachian Women's Museum house tours (ongoing throughout the event)
2:00-4:00 Macon Faces and Henna, face painting.
4:00 Make a Paper-plate Banjo!
5:30 Invasive Species walk with Melissa Madrona of WATR, walk through Monteith park trails.
**Food**
Cookout style with hot dogs, burgers, and grilled chicken. Sides made by Cullowhegee Farms!!

Vintage and flower booth by Appalachian Women's Museum featuring vintage fabrics, glassware and handiwork. Flowers for sale provided by Snake Song!!

Fonda Cactus, big thank you for donating commissary kitchen space so we can feed the people! Fonda is located in Dillsboro behind Rays Florist. Open Monday-Saturday they make delicious traditional Mexican food at a reasonable price! No Queso dip here, just fine traditional meals.
Snake Song, located on Back St. Snake Song is graciously donating flowers for the flower booth. Open 7 days a week they have flowers, fresh and dried, house-blended teas/herbs, curiousos, and locally made products!
