To create an inclusive, welcoming experience for individuals with sensory sensitivities, including those with autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder, and other related conditions, Music On Stage announces a special Sensory-Friendly Performance of “Arthur and Friends Make a Musical!” This special performance will take place on February 21, 2026, at Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center. The performance will also be ASL interpreted, a program MOS piloted in its 68th season. Which is generously funded by the Illinois Arts Council.
In this specially adapted performance, modifications will be made to accommodate the sensory needs of attendees while maintaining the integrity of the production. Adjustments include reduced sound levels, reduced lighting cues, and a relaxed atmosphere where audience members can move freely, make noise, or take breaks as needed.
