(( Dan Lynch Bio )) :
Dan is an active Rochester-area songwriter, performer, teacher, and audio engineer. Growing up in a musical family, he learned to play guitar, banjo and mandolin from his grandparents and went on to study Music Recording and Ethnomusicology. In addition to recording and performing his own music for over a decade, he has also been teaching private lessons professionally for over 9 years. He has shared the stage with national Americana acts such as Shovels & Rope, Sarah Lee Guthrie, The Low Anthem and Darlingside. When performing solo acts, Dan's mastery of guitar, fiddle, banjo, and mandolin lend to his vast knowledge of American Roots music, particularly New York State folk tunes! His original music swings indie folk, with skillful fingerpicking, ballad-like lyrics, and an ardent drive. A sample of original music can be found on Spotify, under Mammal is a Mountain, linked here: ( https://is.gd/Lynch )
