Romanieo Nicholas Golphin Jr., a 15-year-old Global Science Ambassador, has captivated audiences worldwide with his groundbreaking contributions to science and education. At just 7 years old, he was named an ambassador to CERN and the ATLAS Experiment in Geneva, Switzerland—an extraordinary honor that underscored his unique intellect and passion for discovery. Known for his unprecedented access to Scientific and Research Centers around the world, he was called “The Next Einstein” in a profile in The Washington Post, as well as named a “Boy Changing The World” in a special feature by the Today Show’s Savannah Guthrie. Romanieo Jr. seamlessly bridges the worlds of science, music, and art.

Romanieo Jr. has appeared on NBC, ABC, and CBS, (joining forces with the likes of Bill Nye, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Jimmy Kimmel) and most notably joined Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, where he shared his passion for science with millions.

Exclusively homeschooled by his parents (along with his 7-year-old brother and 2-year-old sister), Romanieo Jr. and his family are in the midst of a modern Renaissance, drawing inspiration from the Detroit Institute of Arts to create a stunning body of work that will be displayed throughout the library during the event.

Romanieo Jr.’s program features a masterful blend of timeless classics and original compositions, including Waltz on Woodward and Born Day Blue, which reflect his deeply personal and innovative voice. From the soulful strains of Nathaniel Dett’s His Song to the ethereal beauty of Ravel’s Le Gibet, alongside beloved pieces by Debussy, Scriabin, and Liszt, this recital promises a transcendent journey through sound, emotion, and artistry.

Biography:

Romanieo Golphin Jr., is a 15-year-old Global Science Ambassador who was named “The Next Einstein” by the Washington Post at age 8, profiled by NBC’s The Today Show as a “Boy Who Is Changing the World,” and, to date, is the only child on record to have received VIP invitations and tours of some of the world’s most prestigious Scientific Centers:

• CERN - The European Organization for Nuclear Research (Switzerland & France)
• Fermilab (Chicago, IL)
• Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory
• 7 NASA facilities (Goddard, Kennedy, Johnson, Wallops, etc.)

Romanieo Jr. embodies the Einstein quote: “Play is the Highest Form of Research.” He is at home in any setting, whether he is on a tennis court, hiking through the woods, or at a university. He’s been invited to sit in on classes and participate in lectures starting at age 6 at UNC Chapel Hill (Chemistry and Jazz Band), Morehouse College (Chemistry and Physics), Duke University (Invited Talk, Program in Education), and The University of Michigan (Youth Orchestra).

His media appearances are as epic as his scientific access, having been invited on The Today Show and The Tonight Showstarring Jimmy Fallon, where he was a science expert for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. His media appearances have reached audiences of over 25 million.
