Since 1892, Music in the Parks has provided residents and families opportunities to gather and enjoy local music throughout the summer. Since its inception thousands of free concerts have taken place. Concerts are weekly and vary from classic rock, hip hop, international, funk and many more genres of music. This week at the Lake Harriet Bandshell we are hosting The Brilliant Colors Jazz Trio. They deliver a diverse palette of modern jazz guitar melodies, backed by dynamic acoustic bass and finely textured drum rhythms. Together, they explore original compositions by Helgeson, and catchy arrangements by Django Reinhardt, Pat Metheny, Bill Frisell and others. Their list of venues include: The Lutsen Jazz Festival, CoV Wayzata, Alexis Bailly Vineyards, Northshore Winery, Chateau St. Croix Winery, 7 Vines Vineyards, Parley Lake Winery, Hell’s Kitchen, MetroNOME Brewery and Bloomington Farmer’s Market.
