"We are the Naval Aviation Alumni Choir (NAAC): former Navy and Marine pilots, flight officers and flight surgeons that were also members of an official U.S. Navy sponsored choir based in Pensacola, FL from 1949-2002. Over the course of five decades, the choir performed at hundreds of major venues including national television shows and professional sporting events. Some of our singers are originally from Minnesota. A number are combat veterans having served with distinction in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
Currently, the NAAC travels and performs with approximately 35 singers throughout the US for squadron and ship reunions, community events Rotary Clubs, Aviation Museums, VA hospitals and other facilities. In December 2023, the choir collaborated with the University of Florida Choir for a performance at Carnegie Hall in New York City."
Since 1892, Music in the Parks has provided residents and families opportunities to gather and enjoy local music throughout the summer. Since its inception thousands of free concerts have taken place. Concerts are weekly and vary from classic rock, hip hop, international, funk and many more genres of music.
