On Saturday 15th March Highly Strung string quartet will perform a dazzling concert of iconic movie music at St Martin's Church, Alfreton, Derbyshire. The string quartet with perform in atmospheric candlelight transporting us to Hollywood and beyond through some of the most well-loved music from the movies. Expect to hear music from Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Disney, James Bond and so much more.
There will be a bar and snacks available catering to all diets so sit back, relax and enjoy a night out with a difference!
This is the first event of its sort ran by ourselves and the church, as a trial and to make the event more accessible tickets are priced on a 'Pay What You Can fee'. There is a minimum fee of £5 a ticket and suggested fee of £12.50 per ticket, if you have a spectacular time there will be opportunity to top-up your ticket with a donation on the night.
Doors will open at 6:30pm and the concert will begin at 7:15pm, there will be an interval with the concert expected to finish by 9pm. There will not be reserved seating, we will have wheelchair spaces and disabled seating areas please let us know when you arrive if you require these.
Limited disabled parking is available directly outside the church, further parking is available in the vicarage as well as street parking on Church Street and a small car park on King Street. It will be dark and the path leading to the church is uneven, please take care.
