Music for the Soul: Rooted

Rooted is a sanctuary of sound and stillness. Join nature-inspired composer Rosemary Jefford for an immersive guided meditation, performed live on the piano. Step away from the noise of notifications and rediscover your own internal rhythm in a space designed for quiet reflection.

Inspired by the life cycle of the beech tree, the session unfolds in three movements:

• The Seed: Finding the point of beginning.
• Dormancy: Embracing the necessity of stillness.
• Rooting: Establishing strength and connection.

Each movement begins with a brief introduction to the music’s natural inspiration. As the live piano fills the room, you are invited to rest, meditate, or journal. These cycles of music and silence offer a rare opportunity to process, breathe, and simply be.

At the end of the session, you are invited to stay for a little while, enjoy some homemade cake and a hot drink.

No previous meditation experience is required—only a desire for quietude.

About the Artist Rosemary Jefford is a composer and pianist based on the edge of the Cotswolds. Her work is deeply informed by the natural world, seeking to translate the beauty of nature into evocative, heart-centred compositions.
