Music for Cello and Piano

The Tucson community is invited to an exciting offering of chamber music featuring the works of Igor Stravinsky, Francis Poulenc, Mel Bonis and Cecile Chaminade. It will be performed by pianist Dr. Rie Tanaka and cellist Jesse Nummelin. 

Dr. Tanaka, a member of the piano faculty at the University of Arizona, is an award-winning pianist and educator known for her engaging programs, interdisciplinary projects and expertise as a music and wellness coach. Jesse Numelin is a member of the Griffon String Quartet, a full-time professional ensemble based in northeast Wisconsin. He also has been a member of the Des Moines Symphony Orchestra, Tucson Symphony Orchestra, and Phoenix Symphony Orchestra. 

The concert will be at 2 p.m. March 15 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 7570 N Thornydale Road. It is part of the church's series of beautiful concert music. There is no charge to attend. All are welcome.
