The 1st annual all-day Music Econ Summit takes place on Saturday April 27, 2024 at the Grand Rapids Center for Community Transformation to support entrepreneurship and wealth generation for hard working music creatives. The Music Econ Summit brings together music industry experts, copyright lawyers, successful independent artists, entrepreneurs, and other music industry professionals for a day of education, discussion, and networking focused on sustainable income strategies and upward economic mobility. Equipping our music creatives with the knowledge and skills to become economically stable brings vitality and creates culture that livens up communities.
The Music Econ Summit is all about guiding Michigan's local independent musicians and producers into a sustainable career or side hustle that provides economic freedom and autonomy. The music industry has traditionally been difficult to enter without investing heavily in studio time on your own or being picked up by a record label and rolling the dice. This has left thousands of musicians across our state without the opportunity to realize the economic potential within their talents and passions. Talented independent musicians no longer need to sign away the rights to their intellectual property. They just need the knowledge and network to reap the rewards of their talent and years of blood, sweat, and tears.
With the help of sponsors removing financial barriers for attendees, the day-long Music Econ Summit will only cost $25 while also supporting the presenters, panelists, performers, and staff. If you are interested in sponsorship opportunities, please contact Monk at:

The Music Econ Summit is organized and hosted by the Grand Rapids Center for Community Transformation, Push the City Cypher, the Michigan Music Alliance, and Triumph Music Academy.
