About this Event
We're thrilled to invite you to a spectacular Music Celebration Day on June 21st, from 6-10PM, hosted by The Alliance Francaise of Berkeley and The Ecole Bilingue of Berkeley. This year, our theme will transport you to the streets of Paris with "A Tango in Paris" celebration.
*6-6.30PM: we'll be joined by the incredible Ayano a dancer, teacher, and co-founder of the Tango Poetry Project, for a special interview. She will share her insights on how immigration between Argentina and France has shaped the history of tango.
Empanadas from Cafe Buenos Aires and wine will be available for purchase on site.
*7-8.30PM, we'll be treated to live music by the talented Swiss Bandoneon Adrian Jost and pianist Seth Asarnow, with local tango dancers adding to the ambience of the night.
*8.30-10PM: As the evening progresses, we'll keep the music and dancing going with DJ Cruz Fierro, who will transport us from Buenos Aires to Paris with his selection of tango tunes.
This is a free event, but places are limited, so please register to secure your spot.
