M.U.S.i.C. presents "Tales of Euclid Beach Park" at the Cleveland History Center. Composer Chris Neiner drew inspiration for his four-movement work from Euclid Beach Park, the beloved amusement park that operated on the shores of Lake Erie from 1895 to 1969.
Commissioned by M.U.S.i.C., "Tales of Euclid Beach Park" will be performed by Maria Beyens, violin; Brendan Phelps, cello; Justin Wisner, clarinet; and Chris Neiner, piano. The performance will also feature dancers Lieneke Matte and Antonio Morillo.
The event is presented in partnership with the Cleveland History Center as part of its celebration of 250 years of America.
The performance begins at 6:30 p.m. Arrive early to explore the museum, ride the carousel, and purchase a glass of wine or another beverage. The concert is included with museum admission ($15 for adults; $10 for students and children).
