Mushroom Production
About this Event
Join us to learn all about growing mushrooms in a controlled environment!
Participants will explore the Charm City Caps inoculation chamber and grow lab, hear how mushrooms are part of Acres4Change's mission of promoting stewardship and land access for farmers of color, and taste a delicious recipe made with gourmet mushrooms.
About the Farm
Acres4Change (A4C) was founded in response to the growing racial wealth gap in the United States. Charm City Caps is an A4C stewardship program that creates a path to land ownership for BIPOC farmers through a mushroom production and mentoring curriculum, growing lion’s mane and different varieties of oyster mushrooms.
