Mushroom Log Inoculation Workshop

Join us here at Garden Supply Company, together with our community partners, Bond Brothers Beer Co, and local farmer, Charles Strickland, for a learning opportunity you can't afford to miss!

During this workshop:

• Learn about mushrooms, fungi and general growth habits

• Learn proper techniques for harvesting and drilling logs
• Use (or observe) specialized tools and equipment
• Inoculate logs with organic mushroom spawn and cap with wax

Take home one log inoculated with either Oyster or Shiitake mushroom spawn to grow at home this year.

Yield 1-2 pounds of mushrooms per year from your log (when kept in the right conditions). Organic mushrooms sell in-store for anywhere between $9.99-16.99/lb.
