Curious about growing mushrooms at home? Join us for an engaging class on basic of mushroom cultivation. No prior experience required!Learn how to grow your own edible mushrooms and enjoy them! During this workshop, we'll focus on the following objectives:
Explain basic mushroom ecology and role fungi play in natural ecosystems.
Describe the role of fungi as decomposers of organic matter.
Identify mushroom varieties best suited for home production.
Recognize environmental conditions required for successful mushroom cultivation.
Demonstrate proper harvesting, handling, and consumption techniques for edible mushrooms.
Apply general fungi safety guidelines to reduce risks associated with cultivation and consumption.
