Housed in a historic landmark building overlooking Central Park, the Museum of the City of New York guides you through the past, present and future of all five boroughs of New York. Dive into the history and culture of this vibrant city through images, art, cartoons, film and historic objects, accessories and costumes. The ever-changing array of exhibits explores life in the city through its history, through the eyes of its artists and creators and through its contemporary culture of art and activism. This summer, you can take in "Through a Different Lens", a collection of Stanley Kubrick's photographs, as well as "Rebel Women: Defying Victorianism", "Art in the Open: 50 Years of Public Art in New York" and "Elegance in the Sky: The Architecture of Rosario". And if you're hungry between exhibits, pop into Amy's Bread at Chalsty's Café to enjoy a coffee and baked goods.
