Join us for the private view on the 12th of November at the Vittoria Street Gallery, School of Jewellery, Birmingham.
A cast of curious long-nosed characters takes over Birmingham City University's School of Jewellery as artist and jeweller Matilde Fernandes brings painting and jewellery together for the first time.
Born from a period of creative block, the Muses evolved from simple sketches into recurring companions, appearing across nine paintings and a collection of wearable pieces. Moving between humour, nostalgia, overthinking and reflection, they invite viewers into a world that feels both playful and strangely familiar.
