Rick Cochrane, Francis Jaye Johnson and Cliff WoodwardMUSE is a reflection on the relationship between an art model and their artist.
This exhibition is a celebration of the collaborative nature of inspiration and responding to the female form, as a body caught or passing through time. From gestural charcoal nudes, to abstract portraits and erotic prints, Muse looks at how an artist views their subject, as well as gesturing to the subjective experience of the model depicted. Either caught, passing through or reflected upon in time.
Rick Cochrane, Francis Jaye Johnson and Cliff Woodward are Canberra based artists connected to CAW and M16 Artspace, working out of private art studios in Weston, Gungahlin and Gorman House.
