We are excited to invite you to a special edition of the Global Surgery Journal Club, hosted in collaboration with Intuitive, which will be on 8/12/26 Wednesday from 6-9 pm at the Peacock.

This multidisciplinary session will feature Ryan Barrett, Vice President of Academics at Intuitive, and we hope to bring together colleagues from General Surgery, Urology, Gynecology, and Otolaryngology (ENT) to explore the evolving role of robotic surgery in global surgery. Through discussion of the current literature and shared perspectives across specialties, we hope to foster meaningful conversation about the opportunities, challenges, and future directions of robotic technology in resource-limited settings.

To facilitate an engaging discussion, two journal articles are attached in the invite email and will serve as the foundation for our conversation. We encourage all attendees to review the articles in advance.
