The waves are calling, and so is the party. Whether you’re a Mursu or a seasoned sailor, it’s time to secure your spot on board the wildest wave-riding, wine-guzzling, dancefloor-dominating cruise of the year: KY-Sub’s legendary MURSULAIVA 💥 This year, we’re setting sail for Tallinn to unleash some maritime mayhem, so get ready for unforgettable memories! 🌊
For 23 hours straight, over 400 students will turn the Baltic into pure chaos and seaside fun. From legendary Aalto checkpoints 🏓 to dance floors that keep spinning long past midnight 🎶, Mursulaiva will put your stamina to the test.
Fuel up like a true sea creature at the all-you-can-eat-and-drink buffet 🍝🍷 before we dock in Tallinn for a breather and for time to explore, refuel, or maybe buy that questionable souvenir 🇪🇪. Then it’s back on board, as the madness continues into the night.

Every ticket includes the round-trip travel from Helsinki to Tallinn, a place in an overnight cabin of two or four people, an unlimited dinner buffet with selected drinks on tap, the legendary afterparty on the ship, all on-board activities, and of course the official Mursulaiva overall badge.

⏰ Ferry schedule: Departure from Helsinki (Katajanokanlaituri 8) on Monday at 10:30 → Return to Helsinki on Tuesday at 9:30
📍 Tallinn time: Docking at 13:00, giving you around 2 hours of free time to explore! 🏙️
Be back on board before 16:30 sharp, the ship won’t wait!
⚓ After setting sail again, the ship will stay docked overnight in Tallinn’s harbor (23:00–07:00) before the final journey back to Helsinki.
🛏️ You can leave your belongings safely in the cabin during the Tallinn stop and come back whenever you’d like (between 13-16).
🍝 The buffet includes two hours of unlimited food and selected drinks (alcoholic + non-alcoholic). Other food and drink options are also available for purchase on the ship.

💭 Frequently Asked Questions 💭
Q: When and where do I have to be?
Cabin card distribution starts at 8:00 at Katajanokanlaituri 8 (Mastokatu 1)
Please arrive at least 2 hours before departure (by 8:30 the latest).
More information about boarding will be shared closer to the date.
The ship departs at 10:30 from Katajanokanlaituri 8.

Q: What documents do I have to bring?
A valid travel document is required to board the ship. The accepted documents depend on your citizenship:
Finnish citizens: Passport or ID card
EU citizens: Passport or ID card
Other citizens: Passport
Please note that a driver's license is not a valid travel document.

Q: What is included in the ticket price?
Accommodation in a 2-4 person cabin
Dinner buffet with unlimited wine & beer on tap
Program during the cruise
Mursulaiva overall badge
Amazing company & unforgettable memories

Q: Is breakfast included? Can I buy it separately?
Since we arrive back in Helsinki at 9:30 on Tuesday morning, breakfast is not served to us. However, it should be possible to purchase snacks/breakfast directly from the ship’s cafés.

Q: I can’t come to the cruise. Can I sell my ticket?
Unfortunately, tickets cannot be resold, as passenger information must be passed on to Viking Line shortly after ticket sales close.

Q: I forgot to send a cabin mate request. Is it still possible?
Yes, until the deadline: 2.9.2025 at 23:59.

After the deadline, NO CHANGES OR REQUESTS will be accepted.

Q: When can I leave the ship?
We arrive in Tallinn at 13:00 local time. You’ll have free time from 13:00–16:00 to explore, shop, or grab food.
Be back on board by 16:00 (the ship will not wait for you).
You may leave your belongings in your cabin during the stop.
You are free to come back to the ship whenever you’d like (between 13-16).
Departure to Helsinki is at 16:30.
DO NOT LEAVE the ship at any other time before we return to Helsinki at 9:30 on Tuesday.

Q: What if my cabin mate's preferences don’t fill the whole cabin?

Every cabin will have 2 or 4 passengers. If your cabin isn’t full, we will place you with other students, preferably from your year. For example, Mursus will be grouped with other Mursus.

Q: How is the checkpoint tour going to work?
Checkpoint maps will be shared with you on the day of the cruise.
The full schedule and more info will be published later.
There are no fixed time slots; you can explore freely and get to know the different subcommittees and clubs at your own pace.
