13th December | Doors Open at 6:30 PM Step into the spirit of the season with a night of festive thrills, 1920s glamour and circus intrigue under the Big Top at The Boathouse.
The year is 1926 and the circus has rolled into town, captivating the village with wonder and spectacle. But when the newly elected mayor, Mr Meaner, arrives to reveal his destructive money-making schemes, events take a dark turn. Shot down before he can finish his plans, his death leaves an air of shock and suspicion. Now it is your task to unpick the evidence and uncover the truth.
Your ticket includes live entertainment from Big Adventures Murder Mystery Company and singer Ben Adams, a welcome glass of mulled wine, festive canapés, a Christmas meal and a dessert, all for £45 inclusive of booking fee.
The festive menu offers a choice of the following:
Main Courses:
- Butternut Squash & Lentil Wellington (V, VG) with roast potatoes, tender stem broccoli, carrots and gravy
- Bangers & Mash with carrots, garden peas, red cabbage and onion gravy
- Turkey Paupiette (rolled turkey, sage & onion stuffing, wrapped in bacon) (GF, DF) with roast potatoes, tender stem broccoli, carrots and gravy
Desserts:
- Raspberry Frangipane (V, VG) with vegan vanilla ice cream and raspberry coulis
- Baked Honeycomb Cheesecake with honeycomb ice cream and caramel drizzle
- Chocolate & Vanilla Torte (V, GF) with vanilla bean ice cream
There is no need to dress up, though 1920s attire is warmly welcomed for those wishing to immerse themselves in the theme.
