The Murals in The Market team are back with Murals in Islandview! Join @1xrun and @muralsinthemarket at @Spotlitedetroit for daily events from September 23rd through the 28th. This season there will be 10+ artists painting murals in Detroit’s Islandview neighborhood - located a short walk from Spot Lite Detroit.

Mon. 9/23
Painting begins.
Tues. 9/24 - Sat. 9/28 (10:00am daily): Start your day at Spot Lite with coffee from Cairo Coffee, record digging at Spot Lite Records, and explore Freddy Diaz's solo exhibition Longevidad.
Tues. 9/24 - Sat. 9/28 (12:00pm - 10:00pm): Watch artists transform 4 locations in Islandview with live mural painting.
Tues. 9/24 (7:00pm - Midnight): Meet the artists at UFO Bar for a casual meet & greet.
Wed. 9/25 (9:00pm - 2:00am): Art Night Detroit Vol. 6 at Spot Lite, showcasing local creativity.
Thurs. 9/26 (9:00pm - 2:00am): Catch DEZ Andrés performing Intersections live at Spot Lite with DJ Jesse Cory.
Fri. 9/27: After the murals, celebrate with an after-party featuring Haute to Death, Savannah G, Ladylike, and an 80’s-themed patio party with Stevano and Tater Tot going back-to-back with Ari Zona.
Sat. 9/28 (1:00pm - 8:00pm): Join the Murals in Islandview Block Party presented by Hospitality Included, Spot Lite, 1XRUN, and Detroit Month of Design. Enjoy a live fashion show, art vendors, DEQ Record Fair, 10 culinary pop-ups, and DJs curated by House Party. Free entry, open to all ages, and pets are welcome! Official closing party for Design Core’s Month of Design and for Art Clvb’s Art Fair Detroit.
Sat. 9/28 Night (8:00pm - 2:00am): The official 1XMurals after-party hosted by House Party and friends.
