About this Event
Join us as Major Crimes Detective Michael Lee presents on Munchausen-by-Proxy and false allegations. Through this training participants will gain an understanding of Interconnections Between Key Behaviors and Abuse Allegations, Recognize Behavioral Patterns and Navigate Complex Cases, and be able to Apply Behavioral and Statement Analysis Tools in Practice.
About Michael Lee:
Michael David Lee is a Major Crimes Detective with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office in Conroe, Texas, where he has been a Special Victim's Unit detective for the past 8 years. He is a founding member and the current board president of the National Crimes Against Children Investigators Association (NCACIA). He is a listed expert resource for the Institute on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault at the University of Texas at Austin, as well as the Institute for Coordinated Community Response and Texas Forensic Nurse Examiners. He is on the advisory board for the National District Attorney's Association (NDAA) regarding training and policy for child abuse professionals, and he is on the advisory board for the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (APSAC) task force on Munchausen-by-Proxy/Medical Child Abuse. Michael Lee is an author, a speaker, a cell phone forensics examiner, a hostage negotiator, and an expert consultant in domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse and exploitation, and Michael Lee has been the primary case agent or a consulting expert in over 11,000 cases involving domestic violence, sexual assault, or child abuse across the span of his professional career.
This training will be completely free to participants. It will be in person only at the Sarkeys Foundation in Norman. There is no virtual option.
