MultiSensory Lab: Opening and Exhibition

InCultuur asked a number of graphic design students from the Royal Academy of Art to reflect on accessible and inclusive signage. In an exciting experiment, Mara Șerban, Khulan Erdenepurev, and Cliff Vonk take on the challenge. They go beyond the visual and explore the possibilities of the other senses.

MultiSensory Lab is the result of this research; an experimental space where the interaction between the senses takes center stage and is used to create new meanings and learn more about the way we use our senses.

The exhibition focuses on our sense of touch and attempts to transcend conventional notions of touch through various experiments that the public can attend.

Opening:

On Friday, May 29, between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM, there will be an opening at the Alphabetum, the library of the American Embassy. Anyone is welcome to attend. The event will be in English.

Exhibition: 29-05-2026 to 31-05-2026

On Friday, May 29, the MultiSensory Lab can be visited after the opening until 23:00 during Hoogtij. On Saturday and Sunday, it is open between 12:00 and 18:00, during our regular opening hours.
