About this Event

Perpetrator Training

The Changing Futures programme is a £77 million joint initiative by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) and The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest community funder in the UK. The programme is for local organisations to work in partnership to better support those who experience multiple disadvantages.

Here in Westminster, the Changing Futures programme has been granted over £4.5 million across 4 years, to introduce new and innovative frontline services, delivery models and brings together public and community sector partners to create a flourishing system and drive system improvements, for those facing multiple disadvantages. More information on the Westminster programme can be found here.

Changing Futures, in partnership with Respect, has commissioned Perpetrator training in response to discussions at the VAWG & MD forum, where the urgent need for proactive measures to address and prevent harm was highlighted. Perpetrator training is crucial as it provides individuals with insights into the root causes of harmful behaviours, equipping them with effective intervention strategies. By understanding the mindset and dynamics of perpetrators, we can better disrupt cycles of violence, protect victims, and promote long-term community safety. This investment in education and prevention underscores our commitment to fostering accountability, promoting healing, and ultimately, transforming futures for the better
