The duo is composed of Tyler Giles, a seasoned songwriter and pedal steel guitarist who has toured across the U.S. and Europe, and Cheyenne Dorrell-Giles, a lifelong, classically-trained performer with a background in musical theater. Together, they bring a unique blend of musical craftsmanship and emotional depth to their songs, drawing inspiration from artists such as John Prine, Mandolin Orange, and Guy Clark.
Their name is a tribute to the Missouri River, the winding, muddy ribbon that separates Cheyenne’s native Kansas from Tyler’s Missouri — symbolizing both division and connection, much like the stories they tell through song.
