Sometimes certain opportunities present themselves when you least expect them! And with this particular booking, that is very much the case. ✨Few weeks ago we were contacted by Dattera at Hagen, asking us if we were familiar with the artist Funky Loffe, and whether MUD would be interested in hosting a club night for him. Our instant reaction: that’s a NO BRAINER. We’ve had Funky Loffe on our wishlist for quite some time, and lucky for us the stars have aligned. Without further ado, we roll out the red carpet for the Funky Loffe. 🎶

Funky Loffe stands as an enthusiast within Swedish Rare Groove, recognized not only for his vibrant DJ sets but also for his role in reviving hidden musical treasures from Sweden’s past. Often referred to as a "musical archaeologist," Funky Loffe dedicates himself to rediscovering and transforming classic tracks through modern disco edits and innovative remixes. His acclaimed Swedish Grooves mixes dive into an eclectic mix of genres, from Samba and Soul to Funk, Disco, and traditional Swedish summer tunes, bringing forgotten sounds back into the spotlight. The annual Swedish summer mix he releases has become a Midsummer staple, celebrated by fans as a nostalgic yet fresh soundscape that captures the season’s spirit.
Starting his journey in the street dance scene playing at various battles, Funky Loffe quickly made his mark in Sweden’s club scene, where his discerning ear and eclectic taste set him apart. His unique blend of rare grooves, obscure classics, and energetic party tracks appeals to a broad audience—striking a chord with both passionate music enthusiasts and spontaneous dancers alike. He is also a prominent figure within ballroom culture under his alias Loffe Beats, a persona through which he commands respect as a DJ and producer, though he mostly keeps this role distinct from his work as Funky Loffe.
In 2022, Funky Loffe took a leap into production with the release of his debut EP, Swedish Disco Edits. This release reimagined three overlooked Swedish disco gems, making them dance floor-ready for today’s audiences. The EP, featuring remixes of works by Dina Ögon, Stuzzi, and the legendary Lill Lindfors, received widespread play on radio and in clubs, solidifying Funky Loffe’s role as a key influencer in the revival of Swedish disco. His work continues to bridge generations of music, drawing a direct line from past to present and making every track he touches feel both timeless and contemporary.

As the latest addition to the Schmooze & Brus collective, Ehrmantraut crafts sets that pulse with deep, infectious house rhythms, soulful disco undertones, and the trippy, hypnotic edge of acid house. With a touch of cosmic flair, his sets take dancers on a journey through lush soundscapes and interstellar grooves, creating a feel-good atmosphere that’s captivating from the first beat to the last.
