Come join us every Friday at 7PM for our FNM Commander (EDH), at TCP - Columbus!*These events are sanctioned!*
Entry: $5 [$4 to the pot, $1 to the shop] ~ guarantees at least a promo(s) for participating with the remaining prize support going into the prize pool for highest ranked players. Payment will be store credit and/or promos. The participation promo(s) given will be from a WOTC Official Promo Packs that are shuffled out and then redistributed randomly.
Pods: up to 4 players per pod, OR divided as evenly as possible based on player count. Single round elimination with the winner of each pod advancing to the next round until the final winners pod is determined and the game is played out, with 1st-4th being the winners of the event.
Rules: Gold Border cards ARE allowed during these events. Absolutely NO proxies will be allowed in these events. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Expectations: While we support and understand that players want to play to win (I'm no exception), we hope that in general these events will not have players bring their Top Tier Tier 1 decks. We want players to enjoy these specific events for the environment and to have fun. Though newer players likely won't place in the top, we don't want them to feel intimidated from participating or having a good time. Please be mindful with choosing your deck and the above mentioned, just for the Friday events.
~The Following Applies to All Paid Commander Events at TCP~
*We will allow a 5-10 minute grace period for arriving to the event only to those who inform someone at the event of a late arrival, or even as a casual game is being finished up, etc. If you are later than the start time, or grace period, you can still potentially join tournaments, but with relevant round losses.
**All Commander events held by TCP will be timed at 1.5 hours per game. Once time is called, the active player completes their turn, then each other player gets one additional turn. At the end of these turns, the player with the highest life total wins. When applicable, the remaining player’s life totals will also determine their round placements from highest to lowest.
***The only time these events may not happen is if some other event has priority at the same time, such as Pre-Release.
