Welcome to our MTG Foundations Prerelease weekend!
New to Magic the Gathering?
Prerelease events are a great way to dive in and learn more about how to play even if you don't currently own any cards!
Entry: $35 per event
All of the prerelease events will be Sealed MTG events. That means you will receive a kit containing enough packs to create a 40 card deck to play in the event. This puts everyone on an even playing field and is a fun way to experience the new set.
***2 Headed Giant, Sunday @ 5PM***
Entry: $35 per person \ $70 per team
The 5pm event on Sunday is a Two-Headed Giant event. This means that you and a friend will team up, combining your card pool to make 2 decks and then compete in a 2v2 event against other teams. This is an awesome way for some of you more seasoned players to bring in someone newer and show them the ropes in a low-stress fun environment.
*** What is Foundations? ***
Foundations is a standard legal set featuring Your favorite legends and Planeswalkers with quintessential magic from across the Multiverse. If you have played with core sets before this is much the same, and if you haven't then this is a perfect time to dive in! The mechanics and gameplay will be much more streamlined making this a great set to learn MTG with and also a fun classic experience for veteran players too! So whether you're a past, present, or future Magic player—this set is for you!
This set has a special effect for standard players as it will be in rotation for 5 years! That's 2 years longer than any other set available, so this is a great time to invest in cards that you will be able to enjoy for quite some time to come!
