Sealed Events
Entry Fee: $40
Format: Sealed, Swiss Rounds (Capped at Three Rounds)
Prizes: Pack per Win (guaranteed pack)
Each player will receive a kit that will contain 6 Play Boosters, 1 foil stamped Rare or Mythic, and 1 Spindown die. Players will build a 40 card deck out of their sealed pool and then battle it out for 3 rounds.
Draft Events
Entry Fee: $25
Format: Draft, Swiss Rounds (Capped at Three Rounds)
Prizes: Packs to Winning Records (1.5 Packs Added to Prize Pool per Player)
Each player receives 3 booster packs to draft from within their pod. Players will build a 40 card deck out of their drafted cards and then battle it out for 3 rounds.
Two-Headed Giant Super-Sealed Commander
Entry Fee: Purchase of Set Play Booster Box + $16
Format: Sealed 2HG Commander (2 person teams), 4 person pods
Prizes: 1 Buy-a-Box Promo, 2 Commander promo, and 2 random promos from commander shoe to the winning team
Players purchase a Play Booster box as part of entry. Games are played with normal Two-headed Giant Commander rules, but deck building follows modified rules for Commander Box League. Before opening the box, teammates must agree on how to split card ownership after the event. A few suggested methods:
- You Open It, You Keep It: Each player keeps the cards they personally open, take photos for reference, build decks from entire pool.
- Value Split: Open all cards and divide them evenly by total value, take photos for reference, build decks from entire pool.
- Value Draft: Draft cards, take photos for reference, build decks from entire pool.
Commander Box League Deck Rules
After players open their Play Booster box, they construct a 60-card Commander deck from the contents. Buy-a-Box and Commander promos may not be used in deck building.
- Decks may include multiple copies of cards opened from the Play Booster.
- Any legal commander opened is allowed.
- Color identity rules in deck building are ignored; players may build decks with any colors they want, regardless of their commander's color identity. Note: commander color identity still applies when cards refer to color identity (for example, with Arcane Signet).
Players may adjust their decks between games using cards from their Play Booster box.
Two-Headed Giant Commander Rules
Effects that read "each opponent" or "each player", however, affect each team member separately. Players can block any creature(s) that are attacking them, their teammates or Planeswalkers their team controls.
- The team that goes first skips their first draw step.
- Each team starts with 60 life.
- A team loses when they take 21 or more damage from a single commander OR have 15 or more poison counters.
