Join Melbourne Symphonic Winds for Threads of the Soul, the ensemble's inaugural community concert. This program explores the many facets of the human experience through the power of wind band music. Each work reflects a different aspect of our shared humanity, from exploration to hubris, heartache, joy, and storytelling, creating a musical journey through the emotions and experiences that connect us all. A narration will accompany the various aspects of our nature. We invite you to experience an evening of inspiring music that celebrates the threads that weave together every human soul.
The program will feature a range of composers including:
- Until the Scars by John Mackey
- Twist by Jodie Blackshaw
- Spirit and Opportunity by Daniel Dinh
- Second Wind Gallop by Takafumi Maki
and many more!
The concert is expected to run for 90 minutes, including interval.
