With a background spanning corporate leadership at Travelers Insurance, LEGO, vCISO consulting, and startup advisory work, O’Brien brings real-world perspective to every engagement. She has conducted hundreds of IT risk assessments and audits for clients across myriad industry verticals, including financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, and the public sector.

She specializes in translating complex cybersecurity concepts into clear, practical guidance that business owners can act on immediately, and regularly leads incident response tabletop exercises to help organizations build confidence and readiness before a crisis occurs.

O’Brien holds more than a dozen industry certifications, including CISM, CISA, CRISC, CDPSE, and the CMMC Certified Professional (CCP). She is a published author, an ISACA webinar presenter, and a frequent panelist at national cybersecurity conferences. She is also an active board member of Infragard and ISACA, and volunteers as a career coach with The Honor Foundation, supporting military veterans in transition.
