About this Event
Join us on Saturday, June 10th, at 4:00 PM at First Unitarian Church of Philadelphia (2125 Chestnut St.) for the FREE Musicopia String Orchestra (MSO) Spring Concert. This venue has a wheelchair-accessible entrance at the corner of Chestnut St. and S. Van Pelt St.
The concert will showcase a diverse repertoire and include exciting performances such as:
• A joint performance from Musicopia Young String Players (MYSP) and Musicopia String Orchestra (MSO) of “Warrior Legacy” by Soon Hee Newbold
• The world premiere of the second movement of “Symphony for McCoy Tyner” by Dr. Jay Fluellen
• A piece by Marianne Martines, a woman composer from the Classical era, arranged by MSO Conductor Taia Harlos
