MSMSA Fall Focus 2024

Welcome to MSMSA Fall Focus 2024!

Join MSMSA as we take a culinary and health journey through the "The Blue Zones" - areas of the world where people live the longest and are the healthiest. This cooking demonstration, led by both a chef and nutritionist, will serve delicious and nutritious dishes as they are prepared before us. We will taste our way around the Blue Zones as we sample five courses and learn about social determinants of health related to nutrition and food security. Following the presentation and lunch, those interested are invited to a guided tour of the Kalamazoo Valley Allied Health building to learn more about community and lifestyle nutritional programs, their nearby urban farm, as well as their work in providing our local medical community with nutrition education.
