MSDWT Kids Broadway Musical Theatre Camp/Session One, June 2-6

Who Can Participate

Children who have completed grades 1 -8 may enroll in this very unique Musical Theater experience. In one week, June 2-6 campers will produce the musical by Beat by Beat press, "The Claw "

This show is a super fun new musical and has catchy songs with lots of parts. Every participant will get a part and all will sing, dance, and act.

Bonus EVENT

WE will have a bonus event during the week. In the past we have traveled to Beef and Boards but we are still waiting to for Beef and Boards to either add another matinee or release additional seats and we are first on their list. (The number of season ticket holders have grown over the years. ) We do have a back-up plan with a special professional group coming in and having a camp pizza party if the Beef and Boards trip doesn't work out. We will notify you as soon we confirm. However, expect that our camp will sell-out quickly. Instructors

Maribeth Smith, Clearwater Music Teacher will serve as Director and Choreographer and Joyce Click, retired NC Music Teacher will serve as Music Director. Talented high school students will serve as interns for the week. The camp will be limited to 45 students and is expected to fill-up quickly. Get your carpools together and get all your friends and sign-up for the same week as you.

Where and When

Campers should be walked into Clearwater Elementary each day between 8:15 and 8:30a.m. and picked up at between 2:50 and 3:00 each day.

What to Bring

Campers should bring a sack lunch each day (except the day of the special event TBA). Please bring a pre-packaged nut-free snack to share with 45 campers one time during the week and wear tennis shoes or shoes for dancing (no flip flops). Please let us know, day one, of any allergies or health conditions in writing the first day of camp. You will also need to fill -out the Summer Enrichment permission slip and bring it to camp. Performance for PARENTS and FAMILY (FREE)

Our show will be presented at Clearwater on Friday, June 6 at 1:00 p.m.. The cost for the week per camper is $185. 00 and includes the SPECIAL event, all scripts, use of costumes, and free tickets for families to attend the show.
