The MSA Autumn Dinner & Auction is happening Wednesday, November 4th at the Saint John Trade & Convention Centre in Saint John, NB. This event will begin with a reception and silent auction at 5:30PM, followed by dinner and live auction at 7:00PM.
Special guest, Stephanie Maheux will be doing a presentation on her project "Detection of Striped Bass and Atlantic Salmon in the Miramichi Watershed using Environmental DNA"
Stephanie is a second-year master's student at the University of New Brunswick in Saint John, working under Dr. Scott Pavey in collaboration with the Atlantic Salmon Federation. Stephanie's research includes using environmental DNA (eDNA) to determine Striped Bass and Atlantic Salmon presence and species overlap in the Miramichi Watershed, particularly during the winter months.
